The Point at Polzeath
The Point at Polzeath was bought out of administration six years ago by Eva and Jeremy Davies, the Club formerly known as Roserrow has changed beyond belief. The golf course has seen huge changes and investment all under the supervison of golf course architect Tim Lobb.
Structurally the principle focus has been on drainage, improving the playing surfaces and presentation, all of which have benefited the course enormously. The repositioning and redefining of the bunkers makes the layout of the course sit so much better in its natural terrain.
Every hole has seen changes and improvements of some description, whether it be the positioning of the tees, planting or just the definition of the fairways. The course is without doubt the most improved in Cornwall over the past 5 years. The greens are now considered to be among the best in the County, with accommodation to match. In April 2019 the course will be the third Club in the 3 day Cornish Festival.
In 2015, the Club opened 7 state of the art apartments, which sit 100 yards from the Clubhouse and Health Club. The apartments can accommodate up to 36 people depending on configuration, they all have ocean views, log burning fires, underfloor heating and wet rooms as bathrooms. There are beautiful balconies to make the most of the evening sun.
Alongside the stunning accommodation is a wonderful Health Club, with an indoor pool and a studio for those who want to do Yoga or Pilates. There is also a restaurant, with a balcony that makes the most of the views out over Pentire Point and a bar downstairs that shows all the sport.
