From Short Sleeves to Layers: Turtleson for Autumn

All summer, our Turtleson short-sleeve polos have done the hard work. From early tee times to long evenings on the terrace, they kept their shape, kept us cool and that signature Standwell collar stayed crisp from the 1st to the 18th.

Now the mornings have a nip in them and the light is fading earlier. So we have been looking at what Turtleson has lined up for the cooler months, and the good news is it picks up exactly where the polos left off.

For him

The natural next step from a polo is the Issac quarter-zip. Turtleson calls it its softest blend yet: a cotton-rich knit with lyocell and a touch of performance fibre, so it drapes like a sweater but still handles a hard walk up the 9th. It also comes as a crewneck and a long-sleeve rugby polo.

For the days that can’t make up their mind, the Aidan comfort shell is a light, water-resistant, packable layer with venting and a longer back hem. It folds into the bag and comes out when the shower rolls in.

Off the course, the Bellfield hoodie arrives in new heathered shades, including Eucalyptus and Mulled Berry. And if you want to treat yourself, there is the extra-fine merino Marshall sweater or the 100% cashmere Kephart hoodie.

For her

The women’s line mirrors the men’s, piece for piece. The Cassi series brings the same soft cotton, lyocell and performance blend as a quarter-zip, a crewneck and a rugby polo, ideal for slipping over a summer polo on a fresh morning round.

The Nadia comfort shell is the women’s take on the packable, water-resistant layer, and the Bellfield hoodie is cut for women too, in the same new autumn colours. Together they make a simple, coordinated kit that takes you from first tee to clubhouse without a second thought.

Layered up for the season

What we like most is that nothing here needs a golf course to earn its place. CEO Greg Oakley says the aim was “layers that work together seamlessly” so everything feels intentional rather than complicated. That is exactly how we wore the polos all summer, and it is how we plan to wear these through the autumn.

The collection is available now online and through selected golf clubs and retailers. Here’s to crisp mornings, firm fairways and staying warm while we enjoy them.
