Not every golf break has to be all about the golf. Donnington & Co, set just outside Newbury in Berkshire, has put together a two-person package for couples or friends who want different things from a short break.
The idea is simple. One guest gets up to two rounds on Donnington’s parkland course while the other books in for a 25-minute facial. Then both meet up in the spa, sit down to dinner and stay the night.
The package includes

- Full English and Continental breakfast
- A £30 per person dinner allowance
- Full spa access from 3pm on arrival until 11am on departure
- A 25-minute facial for one guest
- Up to two rounds of golf for the other guest
Prices start from £299 per room, including VAT, based on two people sharing a Classic double or twin. Guests who want more space can upgrade to a Spacious room for £40 per night, a Suite for £80pp per night or a Splendid Suite for £120pp per night. The offer is subject to availability.
It works well for clients travelling with a non-golfing partner, and the easy access from London and the M4 makes it a good add-on for longer itineraries in the South of England too.
