There are few stretches of coastline anywhere in the world that can match the run of championship links between the Wirral and Lancashire, and a group of American golfers has just found out why. Travelling with Epic Golf Travel, a party led by Adrian Jolliffe, Director of Golf at Cascade Hills Country Club in Michigan, spent their trip working their way along England’s Golf Coast.
The itinerary took in the region’s three Royal clubs and Open Championship venues, Royal Liverpool, Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes, alongside the superb links at Formby, Hillside and Southport & Ainsdale. It’s a line-up that would sit comfortably on any golfer’s lifetime wish list, and all within easy reach of one another.
Adrian summed up the trip perfectly:

It’s a lovely reminder that what visitors take home from England isn’t only the quality of the courses but the welcome they receive in the clubhouse and on the fairways, and a real credit to the clubs, members and caddies of the Golf Coast.
