During its 400 year life the house has been owned by the Le Strange family, the explorer Hanbury Tenison, and managed by the Edrich Family. Famous England cricketers Bill Edrich and Dennis Compton are believed to have played cricket on the lawn by the side of the house.
The transformation of this Elizabethan Manor house to one of Norfolk's premiere luxury hotels has been accomplished paying attention to the special history of the location. History also suggests that Pocahontas, the American Indian wife of explorer John Rolfe, also enjoyed some Heacham Manor's restful surroundings on a short visit with her husband.
A perfect base to sample The Norfolk Golf Coast Tour including the likes of Hunstanton, Sherringham, Kings Lynn and Royal Crommer.
