As Golf Tourism England continues to grow, so too does the opportunity to strengthen and evolve how we support the clubs, hotels, tour operators, and partners that make up our national golf tourism network. Over the past year, engagement across our channels has increased significantly: our newsletter now opens at an impressive 65% rate, our LinkedIn presence is vibrant and widely shared, and our digital traffic continues to trend upward. This tells us something important — the GTE community is strong, active, and expanding.
With that in mind, we are relaunching and restructuring our membership scheme to better reflect the needs of our partners and to make GTE more accessible than ever before.
A Renewed Focus on the GTE Website
One of the core aims of the restructure is to position the GTE website as the most informative and trusted online portal for anyone planning where to play and stay when golfing in England. This means:
- clearer listings for clubs, hotels, restaurants, and operators
- more consumer-facing itineraries
- improved booking links and referrals
- expanded regional features and destination storytelling
The website will increasingly become the central hub for our national golf tourism narrative — and members will sit at the heart of it.
Making Membership Easier to Access
The new structure introduces a simplified entry level, designed to make basic engagement with GTE straightforward, affordable, and immediate. This opens the door to a wider range of partners — from individual golf clubs to boutique hotels and destination restaurants — ensuring that England’s golf tourism product is better represented nationwide.
Every member will receive:
- a presence on the GTE website
- access to digital campaigns
- inclusion in referrals and trade engagement
- use of GTE branding and community tools
Enhanced Benefits for Those Seeking Greater Visibility
For organisations looking to increase their exposure further, the restructured membership includes additional tiers with expanded benefits. These higher levels offer:
- elevated website positioning
- more frequent features in curated itineraries
- priority in PR, social, and digital campaigns
- enhanced links with UK and international tour operators
- invitations to bespoke workshops, events, and FAM trips
Whether a business wants a foundational listing or a full partnership that elevates their presence in the golf tourism market, the new model ensures flexibility and scalability.
A Stronger National Network
This restructure is not simply an administrative update — it is a strategic investment in how England presents itself as a world-class golf destination. By making membership easier to join and more valuable at every level, we are ensuring that the entire GTE community benefits from increased visibility, stronger collaboration, and a unified national voice.
As the community continues to grow, this refreshed membership structure will help us champion England’s golf offering more effectively across the UK and around the world.
