VisitEngland is England’s national tourist board, working alongside VisitBritain as part of the British Tourist Authority.
While VisitBritain promotes Britain to visitors overseas, VisitEngland works within England, supporting the tourism industry across every region. Its work ranges from helping businesses of all sizes with sustainability, accessibility and the quality of their welcome, to developing England’s visitor economy with destinations and partners across the public and private sectors.
VisitEngland has supported Golf Tourism England since its launch. GTE was one of the projects funded through the £40 million Discover England Fund, administered by VisitEngland, which helped develop GTE’s regional golf clusters and the website that showcases England’s golf to tour operators around the world.
For international golfers, that partnership is about the whole trip: historic cities, countryside, food, drink and culture, all within easy reach of England’s finest links, heathland and parkland courses.
