WHAT OUR EXSITING MEMBERS SAY

See what our existing members have to say about their experiences with Golf Tourism England.

Goswick Golf Club | Golf Tourism England

Roger Andrews – Goswick Golf Club

Over the last four years Goswick Golf Club has increased its visitor revenue by 120%. There has been many factors which have contributed to this growth, but one of those, has been as a result of the work we have done with Golf Tourism England.

Although we are a championship course and an Open Qualifier for the British Open, we have lacked exposure to the golfing world due mainly to our remote location in the North East of England.

By working with Andrew Cooke from GTE we developed a tour operator programme whereby we brought tour operators from the UK, Europe and the USA to Goswick to experience our offering. I am pleased to say, for minimal financial outlay, this exposure has dramatically increased our tour operator business contributing to our overall visitor revenue growth.

I would recommend any golf club who needs to increase their visitor revenue in a cost effective way to talk to GTE about how they can contribute.

Golf Tourism England | The Belfry

Neil Walker – The Belfry Hotel & Resort

Golf Tourism England has done a great job over the years providing a focus for the golf tourism industry in England, and promoting England as a destination on the global stage.

The GTE Convention, which The Belfry was proud to host in 2023, is the embodiment of all the work they do behind the scenes.

Saunton Sands Clubhouse - Golf Tourism England

Geoff Harris – England’s Golf Coast Manager

‘The future looks bright. As an industry association we now have a voice and people are starting to listen. A perfect example of this is the opening up of dialogue between Golf Tourism England, Visit England and England Golf. There is now real hope that England can emerge from the shadows and become a leading player in the international golf tourism marketplace. England’s transport links and general tourism offer are outstanding, when coupled with our rich golfing heritage and variety of courses forms a fairly formidable package.’
